# Conversations by contact (API Conversations)

Hi, @VVarelaAlzate 👋 At this time, you will need to handle the filtering outside the API request. While the endpoint **GET** `/conversations/v3/conversations/threads` returns associatedContactId": “XXXX” in the response, there is not a filter option. Nor does the Search API currently allow for searching by associated converstaion or Contacts with Conversations.
