# Conversations by contact (API Conversations)

Hi everyone,

With the hubspot api, how can I fetch the conversations of a contact (threads), using this endpoint [https://api.hubapi.com/conversations/v3/conversations/threads](https://api.hubapi.com/conversations/v3/conversations/threads), how can I filter it by the associated contact associatedContactId

Hi, @VVarelaAlzate 👋 At this time, you will need to handle the filtering outside the API request. While the endpoint **GET** `/conversations/v3/conversations/threads` returns associatedContactId": “XXXX” in the response, there is not a filter option. Nor does the Search API currently allow for searching by associated converstaion or Contacts with Conversations.
