It would be great if it was possible to prevent a support user from accidentally sending a message on a live chat by mistakenly hitting enter. It would be helpful to have a new user setting so that a user can opt to only be able to send a message by physically clicking the send button. It would also be great to be able to edit responses in the same way that you can do so on tools such as Slack. These tweaks will allow us to prevent and rectify any typos and crucially remain professional.
This should be standard feature in 2022. Every messaging engine has edit feature today.
Please consider this idea seriously, it’ll be a HUGE quality of life improvement for both Support and SDR folks

The ability to edit would be immensley helpful, it’s convenient being able to use enter to send messages quickly but that can come at the cost of making typos. Agreed that if the ‘send button’ feature was a function that can be turned on and off by support staff (per their preference) then it would be valuable, but everyone would benefit from an editing function.
