Is there a way to automate the filling of the ‘Lead Status’ field in a contact? Also is there an option for the 'Legal basis for processing contact’s data? I ask as we have entered our contacts, but these fields need completing which would be a big manual task.
Is there a way through workflow automation to populate these on mass?
Hi @JSamuel85,
Sure, you can use contact-based workflow to do this: Understand workflow object types
You can reference the lead status and legal basis fields via the “Set property value” workflow action.
Your enrollment criteria depend on who exactly should automatically receive a specific. If you need a branching logic, you would use if/then branches.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
Hi Karsten,
What is the best option to set-up as the enrollment trigger as the contacts are already on the system?
Many thanks
Jennette
Hi @JSamuel85,
That depends on what exactly you’d like to trigger the workflow. If you want to enroll all contacts, you can go with “Create date is known”.
I have to choose how to trigger the workflow, and my options are
1. When an event ocurs
2. When filter criteria is met
So which is best to choose as I need all current contacts enrolled plus it needs to work for all new contacts added?
Hi @JSamuel85,
If you want to enroll all contacts now and going forward, choose “When filter criteria is met” > Contact properties > Create date is known.
Hi Karsten,
I am confused about workflows, so need to look in to this more. Thank you for your advice so far, does it make a difference that we don’t have a Professional subscription?
Many thanks
Jennette
Hi @JSamuel85,
Without workflows, this cannot be done. A Professional subscription is needed for this type of automation.
If an upgrade is an option, let me know. I’ll happily set this workflow up for you. Send me a direct message here or on LinkedIn.
Without a Professional subscription, this cannot be done.
We have Sales Hub Professional subscription, so should be able to do this? The only thing we can’t do is ‘schedule’ as we haven’t got Operations Hub Professional.
Hi @JSamuel85,
You wrote that you don’t have a Professional subscription, that’s why I commented what I did.

With a Professional subscription, you can follow the instructions as discussed earlier in this thread.
