contacts are not syncing from HubSpot to Mailchimp

I’ve done everything this help info tells me to do: Use HubSpot's integration with MailChimp but new subscribers through the pop up form from the hubspot plugin in my wordpress website are not pushing to mailchimp, not showing up in the list there after 24 hours.

Already did that and got referred here because I don’t have a paid account yet. The catch-22 is that if HubSpot won’t help me resolve this so I can be confident about buying into this service and making such a huge change in my business to convert everything to HubSpot, I’m not going to become a buying customer. I went through the how-to and the troubleshooting available in the how-to/help area already and ruled out everything I can on my own. Can I get some help with this issue, or should I just disconnect HubSpot and move on?
