Contact Property: Number of Sales Activities

I’m trying to run campaigns targeting contacts with low sales activity, but I’m running into an issue with filtering.

In the “Number of sales activities” contact field, some contacts show 0, while others show a dash (–). I understand that 0 means there are no logged activities, but what does the dash mean?
Why hasn’t HubSpot calculated anything for those contacts?

This inconsistency is making it hard to build accurate filters—since contacts with “-” aren’t being included when I filter for “0 sales activities.”
I could just bulk update the property for all contacts with unknown to 0, but that feels wrong!
Has anyone figured out a good way to handle this?

Hi @ERejto,

Depending where you are filtering you can solve this in a few different ways.

I am not sure why HubSpot puts a 0 on some and - on others, perhaps the contacts with a - have no activity at all, sales or otherwise.

In Lists and Workflows you can filter like this:

And in Contact View you can filter like this:

This way you will capture all 0 and - Contacts.

Hope this helps.
