What does it mean?

Hi @Xiawanbai,

When you see “contact created from other campaigns” in HubSpot, it usually means that a contact was added to your database because of an action from a different marketing campaign than the one you’re currently viewing. For example, if someone filled out a form or interacted with a different campaign, HubSpot keeps track of that original source.

To learn how a contact was created, you can review their timeline in HubSpot. It will show you the specific campaign, form, or workflow that created the contact.

Hi @Xiawanbai ,

The phrase “Contact created from other campaigns” in HubSpot means that the contact was originally added to your database through a different marketing campaign or source, not the one you’re currently viewing.

HubSpot tracks the original source and campaign attribution for each contact. So when you’re analyzing a specific email, form, or ad campaign:

  • If a contact was already in your CRM from a previous campaign, HubSpot will label their engagement as “Contact created from other campaigns.”

This helps you clearly distinguish between new contacts generated by a campaign and existing contacts who are simply engaging again, allowing for more accurate performance analysis.
