@RHendricks I built out a stage tracker for deals and looked at some of our deals to verify.
The “Closed stage” is a combination of “Closed won” and “Closed lost” - when the deal is won, it shows a handshake icon in this stage and when it’s lost it shows an X.
This stage can’t be removed that I can find, hopefully with this clarification you won’t need a fix
