We need to create an overview with Contact & (Associated) Company details, and be able to filter on these properties.

Unless you use workflows (included in Sales Pro or Marketing Pro) to copy company properties to the contact, or vice versa, it isn’t possible to filter contacts using company properties or vice versa.
