Is there any change of haveing in both the contact & company required field of having the country listed that it be a pull down option such as the country one when entering a phone number. I can see many people if we try to keep a “standard” that it will for example short hand for USA with United States, U.S.A. , United states of America etc. or spelling errors.

Check out this HubSpot Knowledge Base article for step-by-step instructions on creating a dropdown select Country by using the Load options feature. HubSpot has a list of countries already that you can automatically pull in to standardize this property.
Just make sure you transfer over any existing values as needed.
