Need to add a hyperlink to Deals like this:

[https://api.example.com/deal/?name=Whatever&account=Dunder+Mifflin&amount=25000&owner=Jane+Doe&ownerEmail=jdoe@example.com](https://api.example.com/deal/?name=Whatever&account=Dunder+Mifflin&amount=25000&owner=Jane+Doe&ownerEmail=jdoe@example.com)

that users can click to open in a new tab.

It seems like I can add a custom Deal property that is updated via workflow but I’m not sure how to represent that as a hyperlink to the user.
What’s the best way to go about doing this?

Hi @NStuyvesant,

The best way to currently do this is via a custom calculation property: [Create calculation and rollup properties](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-calculation-properties)

In the custom formula editor of a calculation property, you can use the concatenation formula and concatenate the unchanging parts of your URL with personalization tokens for the deal property values:

 ![karstenkoehler_0-1710911552317.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/2X/a/aee53fef8733f29a9cb41dbc7604313b3d5f4c21.png)

If you already used up your limit of calculation properties, you can also do this via a deal-based workflow and the “Set property value” workflow action.

If you want to use that as a hyperlink in emails, I’ve explained here how to do that: [https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Email-Marketing-Tool/How-to-hyperlink-email-address-personalization-token/td-p/810213](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Email-Marketing-Tool/How-to-hyperlink-email-address-personalization-token/td-p/810213)

Best regards!

Thanks @karstenkoehler. Is it possible to display that hyperlink on the Deal page (vs. sending it as an email)?

@NStuyvesant sure, single-line text fields with a URL should show a small icon that will open the link when clicked. Alternatively, you can also set up the calculated property to wrap the link into a HTML tag: \<a href=“_url_”\>_link text_\</a\>

You would do so by simply including the HTML elements in the concatenation.
