Hi! I’d like to ask for help on how can I connect instagram messages to Hubspot and automatically create a contact I’ve connected Messenger through the Messenger Integration Tool in hubspot but I also need to add Instagram given that most of our messages are coming from there. Is there a way we can do this? If no, can you suggest other 3rd party connnector or automation tool like Zapier or Make that can help me bridge the 2 channels. Thank you! ---

Hi @ADG5! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊 At this time it is not possible to send or receive messages from Instagram in HubSpot. That said, it does appear we have some existing ideas on the forum for this same feature-- check out[this one](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Social-Chat-Instagram-Chat-integration-Facebook-Business/idi-p/290472) that our product team has eyes on. We noticed the same Instagram DM issue and built [**Instagram by Octopods**](https://octopods.io/) as a fix — now all your IG DMs can flow into HubSpot’s service inbox (your actual conversations basically). Hey @ADG5 we can help. Here’s a quick rundown of what our [HubSpot \<\> Instagram integration](https://www.hubbase.io/hubspot-integration/instagram) can do: **1. Automated DM Logging:** Every Instagram DM gets automatically logged in HubSpot contact records—just like native SMS integrations. Each DM shows up as an activity (note) with the message text and date, keeping your contact history complete. **2. Tracking & Reporting:** Track DM interactions. Our integration stores key data—number of DMs and interaction dates—in custom properties, making reporting and analysis easy. **3. Contact Matching Without Email:** We match DMs using the Instagram handle or HubSpot Record ID. If there’s no match, we create a new contact, and once an email comes through, you can merge the records. **4. Custom Cards in HubSpot:** Get a view of DM activity right inside HubSpot with a custom card in the contact record sidebar.
