Configure Contact Properties Layout on the Left

I have:

  • Added a property group for my contacts
  • Added a property to that group
  • Added that property into the default contact display
  • It appears on the left for a contact (see Screenshot by Lightshot)

What I can’t do is:

  • Create a panel of properties on the left hand side
  • Configure my own panel of properties
  • My property shows up in the “About” panel

Can this be done?

Update: It is now possible to customise the sections of the left hand sidebar on records: Customize record sidebars

You can’t create your own panel, with your own properties, on the contact display currently.

Not sure about your last point - you can add custom properties to the ‘about’ panel, as you already have. Are you trying to achieve something else?
