In order to classify different types of returning leads and move them to different workflow actions, I would like to compare custom text properties between a contact and an associated deal.

My question is if creating something along the lines of

```lia-code-sample
IF:
 Contact.object_name == Deal.object_name
Then:
Else:
```

is possible via workflows.

A possibility is to create a value branch for the contact, and then check if there’s an associated deal with the same value, however, a much easier method would be comparing the two.

Thanks!

Hi @AIgra,

Out of the box, this is not possible, unfortunately. This requires a [custom code action](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/workflows/custom-code-actions), available in Operations Hub Professional. In such a custom code action, you could define the comparison rules.

Best regards!

There is a workaround I implemented for this type of cases. Just go ahead and define a calculated property. There you can write IF conditions. It may not be too simple to get the same result, and more like how you define similar conditions in Google Sheets, but the result can be achieved without upgrading the plan for sure.

Hi @AMKHITARYAN and welcome, it’s a pleasure to have you here!
Thanks so much for your contribution on the HubSpot Community, we really appreciate it! ❤
Do you have an example of a [calculated property](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-calculation-properties) you would use here to help @AIgra, or for other Community Members who might not be too familiar with these type of properties, please?
Have a lovely day and thanks so much in advance for your help!

Here is an example of a calculated property. The usage of this is going to be like defining a property named “Contact and Deal Match” and the condition to be

`if((contact name = deal name, true, false)`

and whenever needed, in workflows, one can use the true value of this property to start a process, or create branches for true and false values, or use in filter criteria.

hope this helps
