I need to remove the company option or hide it. I understand that it can not be removed but having the company field in contacts is actually extremely annoying and literally a distraction. I am dealing with sole traders who are just starting out. ---

Hi @MKS2010 from the Contacts view, click the Settings widget to go here: Settings \> objects \> contacts \> record customization tab: ![Jnix284_1-1717976859123.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/e/8/e8616e2e3c7c0b0bb0fb4e81c81f552f4f3ada7a.png) Click on Customize the right sidebar, then Remove “Companies” as shown here: ![Jnix284_0-1717976815139.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/6/f/6f2ee6ae835b2a287004e08aac1b96a50de5c4ae.png) Then do the same thing for the left sidebar, removing any properties related to the company that you don’t want to see from the contact record: ![Jnix284_2-1717976933478.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/3/5/3547bdf914ebd166d30f51188b997b91ec9f9996.png) you’ll also want to [turn off the automatic company creation that happens from email domains](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/object-settings/automatically-create-and-associate-companies-with-contacts?hubs_content=knowledge.hubspot.com/records/create-companies&hubs_content-cta=automatically%20create%20companies%20based%20on%20your%20contacts%27%20email%20addresses%20and%20associate%20the%20records) if you don’t want to have companies created altogether.
