Hi. I was trying to understand how is the system field on company object ‘Number of open deals’ populated. We seem to have records with both value = 0, and ‘unknown’. The documentation on this system field does not specify how is the actual value determined. Any thoughts?
My expectations:
- If there are 0 associated deals (whatsoever): ‘Number of open deals’ = 0
- If there is 1 deal associated and it is not won/lost: ‘Number of open deals’ = 0
- If there are 2 deals associated, one is won and the other is open: ‘Number of open deals’ = 1
I fail to understand under what conditions it would remain blank/unknown.
Thanks.
Hey @VeronikaSit ,
that sounds like a very odd thing to happen. I looked it up in couple of my portals and noticed that there is difference between these two properties:
Does it look the sames to you?
Cheers,
Chriso
Hey @ChrisoKlepke.
In my org, both properties have values as follows:
- ‘Number of associated deals’ has either ‘Unknown’ or numerical value of 1+ (i.e. no ‘0’ values)
- ‘Number of open deals’ has either ‘Unknown’, or numerical value of 1+, or numerical value of 0
I find individual records, where there is a combination that does not make much sense:
- #1:
- ‘Number of associated deals’ = Unknown, and
- ‘Number of open deals’ = 0
- #2:
- ‘Number of associated deals’ = Unknown, and
- ‘Number of open deals’ = Unknown
The fact that there is no documentation on HS knowledge base, and that these 2 properties behave unexpectedly drives my OCD up. Ugh. Am I missing sth?
Thanks!
I am trying to use “# of open deals” as a filter for companies and I realize it doesn’t work. I end up with multiple companies that do have open deals. What am I missing here?
