I prepare myself with a structured script to have a clear idea of what I’m going to say, but I present it to my client in the most natural and approachable way possible.

I review my structures and have some tea for my nerves, it’s all in the mind.

The best preparation involves reviewing what was discussed with the prospect and then going over opinions and offers.

First, explore all of the customer’s needs and any questions they may have about the product. Then, ask a series of questions to assess the status of their decision. If their interest in the purchase is greater than 7, dig deeper to ensure they understand all the benefits.

Once we have established an environment of trust and generated credibility for the client, we will have the opportunity to show them why we are different in what we do. It is there that we maximize the benefits of the service or product we sell and show them a real solution that meets their needs.

First, research your customer’s profile, conduct discovery work to understand their needs, and verify whether your product can help solve them.

Before the customer arrives, first identify the buyer and determine what type of customer they are. However, we must have a backup to implement Plan B and not lose a single sale.

Preparing a short, engaging pitch to motivate people to make a purchase

First, focusing on the prospect’s needs, and then on how my service addresses those needs

I would research the prospect, their business activities, and their departmental divisions. I aim to add value and expertise to their areas, even suggesting future ideas they can explore on their own.

I would keep the conversation empathetic, friendly, and relaxed to build trust. I don’t usually approach prospects directly, and when a situation needs to be addressed, I never use the informal “you”; instead, I use “we.” This makes them feel like part of the team.

Thanks to the inbound sales approach, by the time I’m preparing the presentation I already have enough information to build one that clearly lays out: the prospect’s goal, the challenge standing in their way, and the different solutions they’ve already tried without success.

From there, I present my solution and explain why I believe it’s the right path to reach their desired outcome. Once that’s covered, I move on to the required budget to implement the solution and the timeline for deploying that change within the company.

For me, the best preparation isn’t memorizing the features of what I offer, but doing my homework on the person I’m about to speak with. Before the call, I look into what they’re up to, what recent challenges they’re sharing in their industry, or what they told me during our first outreach.

The first thing I do is plan what, how, and when. I organize the product presentation with a solid understanding of it, and if possible, I use it myself to get firsthand knowledge. I listen to the client and research their main problems and needs, then I provide advice tailored to those.
