We want to make a section of rich text collapsible so that people can only view it by clicking read more and then the text will open up.

This would require a developer to modify the theme module(s) used for your landing page if it’s not currently an option available.
Here’s an example of the expand/collapse functionality for text from POWER Pro theme to help demonstrate what you’re looking for.
