Hello -
Once a customer is ready to purchase from a quote we sent them, how can I automatically transfer the quoted data (line items, tax, discounts, etc) into the deal properties of the closed won deal that is associated with the quote?
I do not see where a workflow would be able to solve this unless I am missing something.
Right now everything in the quote is having to be manually copied and pasted from the quote, into the deal properties in order for the deal to represent an order/sale and include all relevant order information.
Hi @HSpotter2412, I hope that you are well.
Great question, thank you for asking the Community!
I found for you the solution from @CateDuarte on this similar post “How to update deal margin & margin % automatically from quotes” where they suggest using a deal based workflow to copy data from the published quote (line items) into a deal property.
I hope this helps!
Have a brilliant day!

Thank you, I do see where line items/products can be transferred, but not the tax or discounts. This is what I am hung up on. In my perfect world, once a deal is closed/won, the quoted data will automatically update corresponding deal properties (taxes, shipping, discounts, etc.), so my logistics and billing team can easily find this information without having to open up a quote, etc.
Hi @HSpotter2412, I hope that you are well!
Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the additional information!
I’d like to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @HubDoPete, @himanshurauthan and @Shadab_Khan do you have suggestions to help @HSpotter2412, please?
Also, if anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation
Thanks a lot and have a great day!

Hi @HSpotter2412,
I checked for you again on this, and at this time the update is not automatic for the moment.
I’ve noticed a similar idea already present in our Ideas Forum: Option for Deal value to sync with discounted Quote values.
To contribute, you can upvote the existing idea and share more details about your specific use case in the comments.
Thank you and have a great day!
