Close date changes after deal is moved to termination

Hello All,

We have an issue affecting our sales reports. When a deal is moved to Termination, the close date is automatically changing to that day. This is skewing our closed-won data and making it difficult to accurately track our performance.

To resolve this, we need to ensure the close date for a terminated deal remains the original date it was closed-won. I also need to correct the close dates for all deals that have already been moved to termination.

Can you please help me with the following:

  1. Stop the close date from automatically changing when a deal’s status is updated to “Termination.”
  2. Provide guidance on how to fix the close dates for the deals that have already been terminated.

Hi @Hatim1,

Navigate to Settings → Objects → Deals → Pipelines → Automate. Here you can turn off close date automation:
