@NazM thank you for this! I’m working with it now. While cloning from a record is great, I was also hoping for the ability to clone via Workflow.
My use case:
Tracking Deal revenue by Office Month-over-Month. So a 5-year contract comes in as 1 deal, then “cloning” that Deal for each month of the contract with the start date being the next month in perpetuity until the end of the contract. I have all the custom calculation fields to make this work. What I cannot figure out (and what I was hoping this cloning ability would do) is how to move the start date of each “child” Deal forward one month from the previous child Deal.
I have a Workflow that moves the original Deal through over and over (very messy), but if I could just ask for a Clone + 30 days on the Start Date, it would be much cleaner…at least in my mind’s eye.
Will the ability to Clone via WorkFlow be added to this or is that something you’ve thought of? Thanks!!
