Hi,
my employee noticed that when she has an email opened in Gmail and wants to see hubspot related data in the sidebar on the right, clicking on Hubspot button brings up calendar in that sidebar. Could that be a bug? I can’t reproduce it on my own machine - only happens on her laptop (windows 10home and newest Chrome).
Any hints on how to solve it ?
We use the extension everyday (to create transactions etc)
I do have the same problem after reinstalling HubSpot Sales Extention in Chrome.
Here is the error I see after click the HubSpot extention add-on button:

Does this mean that once my plugin gets updated to latest version, we also will loose access to that feature.

I suppose so. Better do not update. HubSpot support didn’t want me to connect with Technical support and told to wait for replies here in community. But I am afraid that noone will help here, because I have tried anything spending whole day today for it. But let’s see.
Do you know how to restore previous version of HubSpot Sales extention?
I have no idea. That was my concept to rollback to 3.0.0.25175 on my employee’s computer, but i can’t seem to find previous versions. I wonder if there’s any archive or previous releases available somewhere
We have that same Hubspot CRM extension on another machine 3.0.0.25329, and on this machine, clicking on Hubspot logo on the right, brings up the correct view of hubspot (and not calendar). So maybe this has nothing to do with that version, but something else ?
I have tried on the different PC, but from the same accounts (HubSpot, Gmail, Chrome) and it has the same problem. SO, after your post I thought that it is extention problem, but not after your new comment I am not sure about it. Let’s wait waht HS support will find out.
I fixed it on my employee computer. Here’s what i did.
- cleaned cache of chrome
- uninstalled hubspot crm sales extension
- re-installed it from chrome store (as a matter of fact, i installed it twice - once as not logged in to chrome, second time, after i logged in to chrome)
- after logging in to gmail, i got that welcome screen of hubspot extension that is showing me around and asking me to send that first tracked mail to hubspot account
- after that, all went back to normal - i.e. opening an email and clicking on the hubspot icon on the right, brings me to a sidebar menu of that contact rather than google calendar.
Let me know if that works for you ?
It works for me fine now without any activities from my side!
I think, that HubSpot tech support fixed something after our active discussion here and my multiple contacts of their support!
Hope it would not repeat again and was nice to communicate to you! Thank that posted the claim here as I could not find similiar problem in the community - and here you posted it! Good luck with using HubSpot add-on further! Unfortunatelly, I have spent the whole business day today trying to solve the issue by myself! But it is a good lesson for me - leave problem solving to support and see if they could suggest or do anything! Have a good night! I suppose, you may close the topic now.
I’ve had this exact issue since last week on version 3.0.0.25175.
In fact, if you look closely, when you click and hold down the Hubspot side panel “sprocket” icon, Calendar is being clicked, simultaneously. 
I create Hubspot support case 16225348739 and supplied them all sorts of logs, videos, HAR recordings and documentation.
Version 3.0.0.25329
Today they said they “fixed” it with version 3.0.0.25329. Not quite, though.
First, now, when clicking the Hubspot “sprocket” icon, it still appears to clicks Calendar, simultaneously (click and hold the Hubspot icon, you’ll see what I mean).
Second, Calendar opens for a fraction of a second (something still very wrong with the extension), before it opens Hubspot - but in full-screen (blocking the view of Gmail entirely), not in the right-hand side panel, as it always has in the past. Opening full-screen, blocking the view of Gmail, defeats the purpose of a side-panel extension.
It’s worth noting that all other side-panel extensions, including third party extensions like Canva, continue to work flawlessly. Only Hubspot has this issue.
Related issue
I’ve also noticed that when the current version of the Hubspot extension is active, when composing new Gmail emails in full-screen mode, the “send” message and other controls are cut off the bottom of the screen, and there are multiple vertical scroll-bars. This never used to be an issue, either (I’ve always composed in full-screen mode and never had an issue until late last week)

I wish Hubspot would revert the extension to whatever version preceded 3.0.0.25175 - because until then, the Gmail extension worked just fine.
I’m having the same problem with version 3.0.0.25329 of the Chrome extension: when I click on the HubSpot sidebar icon in Gmail, instead of opening as a panel, HubSpot launches in full-screen mode, completely hiding the Gmail interface. This makes the HubSpot sidepanel unusable, as the entire point is to view Gmail content and HubSpot content at the same time.
To @hubspot support: please prioritize this issue and keep us updated on the timeline for resolution.
In the meantime, has anyone else experienced this issue and is there a workaround?

Update Hubspot to the latest version of the extension 3.0.0.25509 and the issue should be resolved.
Update: After having the extension working correctly for a few weeks, Hubspot has completely broken it again.
Clicking on the Hubspot app now opens a stacked arrangement of Google Calendar on top, and Hubspot on the bottom. Both are poor experiences.
Notably, clicking and holding on the Hubspot spark icon on the right side panel actually highlights the Calendar app.
Notably as well, when the Hubspot app is enabled, opening one of the other side panel applications, such as contacts, opens a stacked arrangement of two random side panel applications, some of which never load. Disabling the Hubspot app puts things back to normal.
Clearly Hubspot is having major issues with its extension, which we’ve disabled (severely crippling our Hubspot experience) until such time as Hubspot figures out how to make its app behave like every other third-party Gmail add-on.
I don’t understand why Hubspot can’t open its application, and its application only, when clicking on its extension - whereas every other third-party extension provider, can.
Broken again for me with HubSpot version: 3.0.0.25804. Clicking the hubspot icon simultaneously clicks the calendar icon. The calendar sidebar stacks on top of the hubspot sidebar and both are mostly unusable. I have found a couple of workarounds: Click the HubSpot back button, brings up the list of contacts, and shrinks the calendar side panel. Clicking back to a specific hubspot contact brings up the calendar again. Zooming out with control scroll on my mouse allows me to click on some of the hubspot sidebar options, but it is mostly unusable.
I am experiencing this same issue on 3.0.0.26907 Please fix.
Im also on Chrome Latest and Hubspot latest and this is happening.
