Check contact existence sometimes gives 404 for existing contacts

Hello dear HubSpot community.

We face an strange issue in the API integration. When we send a request to check contact existence in HubSpot using the API endpoint https://api.hubapi.com/contacts/v1/contact/email/{email}/profile, sometimes it gives normal data, but sometimes 404 for existing contacts. We tested for several contacts, and for all of them it works by that strange way. How can you help me please?

Hi, @and-koghb :waving_hand: Two questions to help get us started:

  • Do you have a contact record that we can consistently reproduce this behaviour with?
  • Is this happening with a portal that has access to support?

Without being able to reproduce and document the issue, it is very challenging to troubleshoot via the community.

I tested it for several contacts and detected the same behavior for all of them. Some contacts were babayanamalya.97+798@gmail.com, babayanamalya.97+789@gmail.com.
