Hi everyone! I’m using the sequences feature and trying to figure out a specific function. A lot of contacts show 1 open on emails, which I know is just the spam filter. What I want to do is make it so that once an email gets 2+ opens, it adds a call task. Those are the priority contacts, so I don’t want to waste time calling all the 1 open people. Please let me know if you know a way to do this. Thanks!
Hi @MEdwards9,
The way to do it would be to use an active list. The settings should be good people who have opened the sequence more than once. Then create a workflow for when people get added to that list, a call task to be created.
I hope that helps,

Hi @MEdwards9,
Depending on how you’re sending sequences this is both possible and not possible.
It’s currently not possible to filter opens from a specific sequence. While you can create a list to filter for total email opens from at least one sequence, you can’t specify which sequence you’re referring to, see below:
If you’re only every sending one sequence that’s not a big issue. In that case you can add a contact properties filter for Last sequence enrolled:
(This field accepts a number which is the sequence ID. You can find that ID by navigating to your sequence in HubSpot and copying the second number from the URL in your address bar.)
With this list, you could then set up automation using a contact-based workflow that enrolls contacts from the list and creates a task.
Keep in mind however that it’s not as black and white as ‘the first email open is triggered by a filter, the second email open is human’. Email clients cache emails in the background for faster loading, can scan them multiple times or people might etc. Personally, I would not add any weight to email opens anymore.
Hope this helps!
