Change / Personalise form colour on landing page

Hello,
I’m trying to change the background colour on a lead capture form, I’ve built and included on an event registration landing page, however the bakcground colour of the form is pulling through as a standard navy and only allowing me to edit the colour of the fields and not the background.
I reached out to your customer support who came back with the following info;
"ok so in this case the background color is for the form module and not the form itself

The form color is determined by the template and “cannot” be changed

It’s styled by the template so all modules have a color according to the template"
Please advise on how I can update this?
Thank you

Hey, @AWarburton9 :waving_hand: Thanks for reaching out. I have a few questions that may help our community members better understand who they can help you.

  • Are you using a free HubSpot-provided template? A purchased one? Or one that you or someone else custom coded? If it’s free or purchased, what is the name?
  • Have you already looked at the Theme settings for the template?
  • Have you already looked at editing the template? Or making a clone? And editing the CSS via the Design Manager?

Thank you in advance for the additional information! — Jaycee

Hello,

We are using a free HubSpot template under the name of ‘landing-page.html’ and I have tried to change the theme settings for the template, however it doesn’t seem to apply. I have included a screen grab of the template below.

Many thanks,

Valeria

Hi @VMaida the screenshot shows the template, but not the theme - can you check your marketplace downloads (in your HubSpot settings) to see what theme this is from?

It is also possible it’s from an “old” coded template, which isn’t part of a theme and would require editing from the coded file directly.

When you edit the page, are you able to drag and drop modules on the page?

If so, you should see a tab called Theme that has a link to the theme settings (if you’re in the new page editor beta, it’s under Edit > Theme).
