Looking to create a list so that I can connect Hubspot with Thrivecart. Thrivecart is demanding I have a list. So, I want to create a list - and one of the options is a Cart-Based list - but I could find absolutely no documentation to define what that is.
Does it mean that’s a list for my shopping cart? Which would be perfect. Or is it something else entirely. I’ve been using CRMS since the early aughts and I have to say that I’m finding hubspot very difficult to navigate mostly because things don’t mean what they mean every where else!
So - can anyone tell me what a cart-based list is?
Hi @coachdebra,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I understand the confusion—HubSpot’s terminology can sometimes be a bit different from what you’re used to with other CRMs.
A Cart-Based List in HubSpot usually means a list of contacts based on their interactions with your shopping cart, like abandoned carts or completed purchases. You can include specific cart details, such as the cart ID or cart URL, and even combine the list with line item properties if needed.
Hope this helps clarify,
Diana
Hi @coachdebra ,
I have direct experience in using Thrivecart with HubSpot.
The Thrivecart - HubSpot integration in very basic and lacks the features that are expected and available for example with Shopify and Woocommerce integrations.
The only way to integrate TC with HS and managing orders is adding contacts to static list via the Product → Behavior settings.
Thrivecart behavior HubSpot listsI suggest you to create a HS list for each TC product and set the behaviour.
Once you have your contacts in HS lists you can then manage them accordingly based on their list memberhip that is basically the purchase information.
You can also leverage the list membership trigger in workflows to manage contacts, create deals, …
Hope this helps!
I’ve decided to go to a different CRM. After 25 years of working with computer CRMS - I shouldn’t need a PhD to figure it out.
