# Card layout and Property/Column widths

Is there a way to adjust the width of properties or the underlying columns on a card in the CRM?

For example on the center card area when I add a card it seems to have an underlying 4 column layout so properties fill those columns and use those widths. This is fine for something like name or email but for something like Notes that are multiline it should be possible to set it to the full width of the card.

Eg below I want Notes to be wider than just 1 column and to be full width in the card.

Hi @AlanGrace

Currently, HubSpot does not allow users to adjust the width of individual properties or customize the column layout of cards in the CRM. The property layout on the cards follows a pre-defined column structure, typically spanning four columns, as you’ve observed. Each property occupies one or more of these columns, but multiline fields like “Notes” are not adjustable to span the full width of the card.

If you’re comfortable with technical solutions, HubSpot’s CRM API could potentially be used to fetch and display data in a custom interface outside of HubSpot, where you can control the layout completely.

Yeah I figured there wasnt going to be a way, which is disappointing. It’s far from ideal to have something like notes which tends to be multiline and a lot more characters that its limited to a single column, it looks bad no matter what way you try to move it around. I am really surprised this hasnt been addressed at some point as its a terrible UX.
