Can't open page preview in new tab

I’m unable to preview a page in a new window. I started a new free account and started building a home page. I have the hubspot domain showing connected as [portal-subdomain]–hub ID number.hubspotpagebuilder.net. That URL, when entered into the browser, shows the published page. However, when I try to open that page preview in a new tab from the page editor, the domain changes to https://developers.hubspot.com/?hs_preview=vDcmlggV-201620393708. And I get a 404.

Never had this happen before. Looking to get the ability to get a page preview in a new tab.

Hey @jestlinbaum! I have not heard of this either. I just tested with one of my published pages and could successfully open it in a new tab.

Have you tried logging into HubSpot from an incognito window and testing it from there?

Best,

Kennedy

Hi @jestlinbaum,

Have you double-checked for any 301 redirections?

Hey @jestlinbaum,

Never heard or experienced that - especially since developers.hubspot.com belongs to HubSpot itself and is used for the documentation.
Few things you can check:

  • The company domain in the Account settings here (select your ‘affected’ portal)
  • Also you might want to check the actual page settings and the “Page URL”

best,

Anton

@Anton @GiantFocal @kennedyp thank you for the replies! The company domain is the temporary URL you get when you sign up, and its all “connected.”

As far as 301’s, I don’t see that tab in in my Domains & URLs settings (I do in other portals I belong to).

Account settings look fine… like any other portal I’ve ever worked on.

Incognito results in the same thing.

Hey @jestlinbaum! Thanks for testing. Can you confirm if this is a website page or a landing page? Additionally, what domain type is connected in the settings? Can you copy the link from “open in a new tab” here?

Best,

Kennedy

Hey @kennedyp , Hey guys, Thank you to everyone who reached out!! I managed to get this pushed to a phone support issue and they found a solution. Everything is working now. I did not get much detail into what they actually did to fix the problem, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time to try to help!!! We can close this thread.

Thanks for trying that out @jestlinbaum! What about your other pages? Do they all behave like this?

@kennedyp I created another page and when I try to preview it, I get "

That page is nowhere to be found"

The same thing happens weather the page is published or not. But it appears to be the correct domain.
