can't log into iCloud from hubspot

I keep trying to add the integration app to sync my icloud into hubspot.

I keep getting this error message when i try:

User error on remote account for appId=“236653” reason=“AUTH_FAILED” message=“”

I tried chatting with someone and they had guided me to use Chrome instead of Safari and to change my icloud password also.

neither of those worked at all.

Please help this is driving me insane

Just to make sure you’re using this integration here correct?

The error message itself comes from Apple. If the credentials are correct then there must be a security setting on Apple security to be enabled. Currently, It’s not possible for us to see which but the information I can get from Apple says the authentication is incorrect.

Our recommendation is that you might need to generate an App password:

These steps should generate a password specific to connecting this app. It’s a temporary password/code you will use to connect the integration.

How to generate an app-specific password

  1. Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
  2. In the Sign-In and Security section, select App-Specific Passwords.
  3. Select Generate an app-specific password or select the Add button, then follow the steps on your screen.
  4. Enter or paste the app-specific password into the password field of the app.
