Can't add subdomain or secondary domain

I’m trying to add a subdomain or secondary domain to my HubSpot account, but it won’t let me do so. I have only connected one primary domain, and this is my first time to connect a subdomain.

There was a problem adding your domain.

Please try again or refresh the page.

This step confirms the content types that will be hosted at the listed URLs.

URLs are the combination of the subdomain, domain name, and top-level domain that you entered previously.
If your subdomain is “www”, your domain name is “hubspot”, and your top-level domain is “com”, your website’s URL is www.hubspot.com.

Since you are on a Free or Starter plan, you can only publish your website on one subdomain. You will be able to organize your content with subdirectories once your domain is set up.

Hi @AIConstruct,

I understand you’re getting this while adding the subdomain:

Here are the troubleshooting steps you can follow:

  1. Refresh your page >> clear browser cache >> add the subdomain again.
  2. Make sure your subdomain DNS settings are correct and propagated, Steps to follow.
  3. Try connecting it at a later time, as there could be a temporary issue on HubSpot’s end.
  4. If the issue still persists after waiting and trying multiple times, use a different network or device.

If this helps, feel free to mark it as the solution :check_mark: and give it an upvote :+1: !

Hi @Jigar_Thakker,

I tried step 1 on different browsers but all outputs return the same.

Where do I locate the HubSpot dataset to copy for my CNAME? I can locate my domain provider’s DNS settings, but I can’t see the DNS records from HubSpot itself that I should copy onto my domain provider.

It should look like: [your Hub ID].groupX.sites.hubspot.net - where do I check this? After this, what’s my next step? If I’m able to locate this, I would just copy this on the CNAME?
