# Cannot create developer account

Hi there

While I can go to the [developers.hubspot.com](http://developers.hubspot.com) site, and it recognizes me, I cannot move past creating an account (the last screen that works is the username).

I get “There was a problem loading this page. It’s not you. It’s us.Please try again in a few minutes. Don’t refresh the page, you’ll lose all progress.”

Anyone else seeing this?

I think I solved it… and discovered a bug? My email address ends in .co. While that works fine in all other accounts and HubSpot use, the devel;oper portal does not recognize that as a valid email address. I had to use a .com email.

If I grabbed the response in the above error (which was trying to set up a new developer account using my existing HubSpot email), I also see “email\_not\_validated” in the response body.

So, looks like there’s a bug. Hpoepfuly this helps others with .co emails.
