We want to add a color-coded label on all tickets within our legal pipeline. the purpose is so users know when they submit a ticket how long to expect for response, essentially this label will show the pipelines backlog, so green normal, red is busy expect delays yellow is busier than normal etc, this should only be managed by a person on the legal team and cna be changed at any time. Whats the best way to solve this?
Hi @cclark2,
Yes and no. Yes, you can simply create a custom property on the ticket object with your status options - during the property creation, you’ll see options to color code them: Create and edit properties
Making these editable only by certain users requires an Enterprise subscription: Manage view and edit access for properties
If you’re on a free, Starter or Professional subscription, anyone can edit the property.
Best regards
Question will this color show on the forms when a ticket is submitted? For example, when a user goes to the form to submit a ticket will this field with the correct color show on the form?
@cclark2 no, this is internal only. If you want colours on the form, you would either have to style the form with the help of a web developer - or include something like a coloured emoji in the property labels: ![]()
![]()
![]()
