This property type does unfortunately not exist and can also not be created.
Instead, have you considered simply associating contacts with contacts (via the right contact sidebar) and using association labels to name these associations? Create and use association labels
@HRichthe2nd association labels can be used in lists and reports, yes.
Which part of associating contacts to contacts should I elaborate on exactly? The idea would be to maintain referrals through the right sidebar, after creating an association label for “Referrer”.
1) have a custom property that marks a contact as a referral
2) Association labels: when a current contact in the CRM refers a new contact you can mark it with a level. so this way you will have in the CRM the referrer and referred.
3) Have Referrals as Custom object: when working with a referral system/partners/representative you can handle this as a new object (Enterprise licence Needed!) this works similar as Contacts but with a new name.
I’m looking to do exactly this! I have deployed the association label approach for months and I’m not a fan for a few reasons, one being, it links the referrer on the deal for all things going forward on that deal…
1. all emails from that referrer will be posted to the deal long after it’s closed.
2. the referrer gets copied on things like PandaDoc’s sent on the deal. If the rep isn’t super detailed, the referrer could get PandaDocs, which in our case, would be bad.
a contact dropdown, even based off a contact value to narrow down the DB results, would be AWESOME.
