Can we do this in Instagram where if someone commented they would recieve a pdf

Can this be setup? Or we need 3rd party app for this?

Thanks for posting in the Community!

To my knowledge this is not possible in a way that’s native to HubSpot alone. But to ensure I’m not missing anything, can you clarify how you see this playing out? For instance, would them commenting on an Instagram post hypothetically imply that they’re opting in to marketing communications (i.e. the pdf)? Maybe the better question here is: What would the PDF entail?

When someone comments on instagram post, they will receive a direct message with pdf.

I found this Idea in our Ideas Forum, where the team has confirmed delivery on the ability to Review and reply to Instagram direct messages within HubSpot. The limitation here, though, is that it doesn’t look like there’s an automation to send a DM per each reply. For this, it looks like you’ll need a third-party.

Hi @rhence, HubSpot doesn’t natively support auto-sending a PDF via Instagram comments that kind of comment-to-DM automation needs a third-party tool like ManyChat, MobileMonkey, or Chatfuel, which connect to Instagram’s API to trigger a DM (with your PDF link) when someone comments a keyword. You’d then use HubSpot on the backend to capture and nurture the leads once they click through to a form/landing page.
