I need to be able to export notes, edit them in Excel, then reimport them so that the original note is overwritten.
On the import screen, there is an option to select how to import notes, including “Update existing Notes only”; however, only “Create new Notes only” is enabled. How do I access the other options?
@LChester the short answer is no, it’s not currently possible to update notes via an import. There’s no unique and association of Notes and Contacts.
Thanks for your reply, Dan. Can you shed any light on the 2 disabled items in the “Choose how to import notes” drop-down?
I don’t have any personal knowledge, @LChester. I’m just another user, not a developer or product manager for HubSpot. My guess is that maybe someday we’ll have that option, but I don’t know anything about that for sure. 
I have heard directly from HubSpot support that this feature is being considered for the future, but they cannot give a timeline for beta as yet.
