Can I create workflows to send emails to Users (not Contacts)?

Good morning, Friends!

We are in the process of creating many new and exciting changes in our HubSpot envirnment, and would like the ability to send emails to our affected Users from within HubSpot itself. For example - when Users are onboarded or Roles are updated; when a User is assigned to a new Team; when Teams are assigned to a Parent/Child relationship; or when new Workflows are created that will affect Team functions or data. We would like to personalize the emails to provide an overview of the changes made and include the email address the User should use if there are questions or functional issues.

Any advice on how to accomplish this is appreciated.

Hi @MBooker,

This is unforunately currently not possible. Workflows are object-based (contact, company, deal, ticket etc.), and there isn’t a user-based type of workflow. Users themselves can’t enroll in workflows.

You could request this from the HubSpot product team by submitting a request in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community.

Thanks for confirming, @karstenkoehler . I’ll submit a request. Currently we are managing all of these communications outside of HubSpot.
