Campaign Management year over year

We have been utilizing the campaign tool in Hubspot for more than six months now, and I am looking for best practices when managing campaign results and reporting. Many of our campaigns repeat every year…is it best to start a new campaign for a new year or better to keep the original campaign and add the assets to the existing one?

Hi @KHassen30,

This depends a lot on what exactly a campaign entails at your company and how you want to approach reporting. If you want a holistic view of how a long-term, overarching campaign impacts revenue generation, you could stick with one. This would also make sense if we’re talking evergreen content and assets that carry over from year to year.

If each year is marked by new content and initiatives, I’d probably go with a yearly campaign. This is likely to generate some insights when you look at attribution reports, giving you the ability to see whether there are performance differences between years.

You can learn more about attribution reporting here: How to Understand Attribution Report Definitions in HubSpot's Report Builder

Best regards!

Thank you so much that is very helpful.
