# Calculated properties - delay

Hi,

I’ve created some calculated properties for my deals, they work OK, however, I’ve noticed it takes a moment for the value to show-up.

I typically need to leave my deal and get back on deal view so that the calculated value can show (it doesn’t help to simply refresh my page).

Is this normal? What is the approx. “delay/time to calculate” property value?

Hello @Edyta7510,

Delays are not unusual. Especially in highly customized portals with a lot of workflows, active lists and calculated properties, you’ll start seeing delays. HubSpot has to check the values of objects and this is slowing down the overall experience.

Have you tried a “[hard refresh](https://www.documate.org/automation/what-is-a-hard-refresh-how-to-do-a-hard-refresh-in-any-browser/)”? You might be looking at a cached version of the record.

A few seconds however would be normal. If it takes more than a minute, that’s when I’d reach out to HubSpot support to see if this is still expected behavior or a bug.

Thanks a lot @karstenkoehler indeed, workflows are involved as well in some of these properties. Will make sure our team is informed about that, otherwise it may come across as a HubSpot bug.
