This would be a greate addition. Each of our companies has multiple children in the hundreds. Manual maintaince of these parts of the records are painful.
We often have hundreds of company records that have to be manually associated with a Parent Company. It would be much more efficient if we could associate a Parent Company to multiple company records at once via the Company List Bulk Update.

To my knowledge, there is no simple way to do this without manual processes directly in HubSpot.
Quick question — what are the fields that you are using to make the associations? Are these Company IDs included in the file? Do you have a company naming convention such as “HQ” being included in the parent company name?
Full disclosure, I work for Insycle, but I think we may be able to help here and save some time. Using Insycle, you can directly associate child to parent companies. You can also make multiple associations and assign labels to the association in bulk, directly while importing. I’ve included a screenshot below to show you what the step looks like.

Yes, please. I desparetely need this option to onboard all of the companies in our market with their parent company. Otherwise, I have to go through thousands of company’s and assign them one by one to the parent company.
Absolutely this! I even tried to export the roughly 1000 child company records (franchises, basically), update the parent company column with the parent company id, and re-upload. No dice! It’s a read-only field?!
Bulk update functionality for this field would be really helpful!
I have a mass list of children that need be be under a parent, the only way I know how to do this is today is manually or remove and upload again with an import service. Total bummer this is not built in.
Yup, this is not available and was a real pain for me as well. I have to manually set mass upload relationships.

You can bulk import associations but NOT remove them!! this is a big issue. needs fixing
I agree with MrBean, it’s important to be able to bulk remove associations!
To MrBean, I bulk removed parent associations by creating a dummy company to be reassigned to the companies needing the association removed in an excel sheet, then importing the sheet to update and overrwite only parent company data, then deleting the dummy company. The below picture shows the fields that I used to update this, with the parent company ID being the dummy company I created. Hope this helps someone!

Really need this. Also, this should be possible to do in company views.
Commenting to boost this as well. It’s very difficult to manage/ edit a large number of child companies. Wish this feature can be updated soon.
