Hi HubSpot community,

I think it would be great to have a feature where you can see if your sales team is actually utilizing playbooks on sales calls at the stages that they’re instructed to. I see this feature being valuable as sales managers are able to already track tasks in reports - they should be able to track more in detail that the playbooks are being used by their sales team at a specific deal stage to ensure that their team is following the correct steps in order to win a deal!

We use Playbooks for our Strategic Account Plans, and being able to report on usuage is essential. Love the idea above and it would be great for Sales managers to see and report on their Playbook usuage better

I agree with the above and we have started to use Playbooks to capture data reasons a Customer was Lost. Essentially tagging reason, decision-maker, and competitor we lost too. I know this isn’t exactly what Playbooks was built for, but the functionality for capturing information is really idea for a sort of internal survey tool - making it super easy for reps to quickly tag and post on the deal card.
It would be great if there was a report that could show the prevalance of certain pre-set responses to each playbook response, and even a breakdown by each sales rep (as maybe a secondary feature).
A much simpler feature in addition to showing how many times each playbook is viewed (already exists), is to have a list available to show which Deal Cards the playbook has been added to. That way we can at least go in and manually compile common responses (grrr…)

A hubspot rep helped me to setup a report showing how many people had completed our playbook under advanced report builder

Under configure

X-Axis

Activity created by

Y-axis

Count of sales activities

Under Filters

Sales activities

Activity type is any of Call

Sales activities

Activity date is known

Sales activities

Call notes contains any of “text from a few of the questions in my playbook”

and this worked. Woudl be better to create more granular reports on playbooks though.

Hi! I would love to see how many times a playbook was used, and what type of answers were collected.

Hi! We started using playbook and we would like to track their usage in dashboard and and patterns in completion. We will be creating a lot of them this year and this feature would be super useful.

I agree! They are such a great tool but I need to see which deals my teams are using them on and when.

Thanks for the report building steps colinwalsh! It certainly helped.

Hi, tools like playbook are great for any businesses and even greater if we can track their usage. What is the meaning of creating tools if we can’t see what they are “building” with! Please do some magic to help your customers help ours… thanks!
