Before the update on November 26, 2024, it was possible to design a workflow to
send a Slack notification to any of the owners assigned to a contact
, but the new update has removed that option and now it’s only possible to send it to either a pre-selected user, a Slack channel, or the contact owner, or everyone assigned to a contact.

In our case, a contact can be assigned to a few different reps; one setter, one closer, one contact owner, one account manager and one trainer. A certain notification might only be useful to one assignee and mean nothing or be annoying to another assignee.

The alternative option which still provides the possibility of sending a notification to a desired user is to use HubSpot’s In-App Nonification.

This is not the best option because it can be
easily missed
by reps and it has its own limitations like a 255
character limit
and not having the option to add a link. The best option in my case is Slack.
**I’d like to have that option back to enable me to have a
workflow send Slack notifications to a specific user assigned
to a contact.**
