The updated Manage Duplicates review experience opens in a pop-up with a vertical comparison layout and blurred background. This is harder to read, and more overwhelming than the previous full-page horizontal layout.
When comparing duplicate records, I need to scan property values side by side quickly. The horizontal full-page view felt cleaner, less overwhelming, and easier to use. The current vertical pop-up adds visual clutter and makes record comparison more difficult.
Please consider adding an option to switch back to a horizontal full-page duplicate review layout, or provide a user setting for comparison layout preferences. Horizontal is so so so so so much better and easier to use the pop feels so much more intense
I actually disagree, but am glad you posted this.
I prefer to use the vertical pop up that allows a side by side comparison. I don’t often merge more than two records, but I have over 7000 duplicates and I have to scrutinize every one. My screen is small and allows limited real estate horizontally, and it is not intuitive to scroll while holding the shift key- I would rather simply scroll up and down as is typical on a webpage.
All that said, I understand that the horizontal view would be beneficial for more than 2 records.
I am wondering if the solution would be one of two things. 1. HubSpot allows us to choose if we want a horizontal or vertical layout for this tool for ourselves, or 2. HubSpot allows a side by side comparison for two records, and automatically changes to the horizontal layout for multiple records. The second option may be confusing and annoying to some customers, so I think allowing us to choose which layout we prefer would be ideal.
