When dealing with blocked external resources in robots.txt, it’s crucial to ensure that essential scripts, stylesheets, and media files are accessible for proper indexing and rendering by search engines.
Steps to Resolve: Identify blocked resources using Google Search Console (Coverage & URL Inspection Tool). Modify your robots.txt file to allow critical resources by removing restrictive Disallow directives. Use Allow rules for necessary paths, such as:
User-agent: * Allow: /wp-content/uploads/
Test the updated robots.txt file using Google’s Robots Testing Tool.
