Hi, everyone

I’m looking for a way to block certain contacts that are accidentally or automatically added in the CRM. I have marked multiple companies and contacts with a DO NOT CONTACT tag or something similar, however I’m afraid to accidentally put them into a sequence, or send them a message without checking the filter I mentioned above.

It typically happens with

- leads that have shown no interest anymore
- wrong timing for now
- competitors
- etc.

Are you able to suggest a solution? Thanks!

Hi, this is possible.

In the contact record, click the Action’s dropdown and then Opt out of email - That’ll be a blanket opt out. Bear in mind that this can only be reversed if the contact opts back in. You can’t reverse it.

If you’re looking to automate this and you have workflows, then there is an action to manage subscription status and you can use the ‘New Opt Status’ option to opt someone out of any particular subscription
