Best way to track LinkedIn SDR activity & outcomes in HubSpot

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up performance tracking for my SDR team and want to measure LinkedIn-based outbound activity and outcomes inside HubSpot.
Specifically, I want to track the following per SDR:

  1. Number of LinkedIn connection requests sent
  2. Number of LinkedIn outreach messages sent
  3. Number of follow-ups sent
  4. Number of leads marked as Interested
  5. Number of leads marked as Not Interested
  6. Number of Unresponsive Leads

Reporting requirements:

  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • SDR-level visibility (individual + team)
  • Ideally automated (minimal manual work)

Any ideas on how to create such reports?

Thank you for your post @Abdulk !

I want to share with you a Knowledge Base article that you can find useful: Connect HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator

Also there’s this Community Thread that offers a workaround: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Sales-Hub-Tools/Tracking-LinkedIn-activities-non-inmail/m-p/923107

I’m tagging some experts from our community who can offer more ideas. Hey there @SanjayKumar @karstenkoehler @RubenBurdin any additional ideas you want to share? Thanks!

Hi @Victor_Becerra, thanks. I have tried the LinkedIn & HubSpot integrations, but the costing just does not make sense in our case, because the integration requires a higher tier of SalesNav, which actually is not that different from the base version.

Hi @Abdulk, did you find a resolution to this? I’m looking at the same thing and also can’t justify the costing of Sales Nav Advanced. Thanks

Hi @ZV2!

Great question, and totally understand the hesitation on Sales Nav Advanced costs.

The good news is you can get pretty far with native HubSpot without it. Here’s what tends to work well for tracking LinkedIn outbound at the SDR level:

Log LinkedIn activity manually (or via workflow) Use HubSpot’s activity logging to track LinkedIn messages as “LinkedIn Message” tasks or custom activity types. SDRs can log these directly from the contact record, or you can create a standardized task naming convention to make filtering easier in reports.

Custom properties for lead status Create contact properties for outcome tracking - Interested, Not Interested, Unresponsive - and have SDRs update these as they work through outreach. These become your report filters.

Build reports in the Custom Report Builder Once the data is being logged consistently, you can build contact or activity-based reports filtered by assigned rep, date range, and activity type - covering your daily/weekly/monthly cadence and SDR-level visibility.

That said, the key to any of this working is buy-in on logging hygiene from your SDRs. The reports are only as good as the data going in.

Hope that helps point you in the right direction! Let us know if you have follow-up questions.
