Best practices for Partners in HubSpot

Hi all

This is my second week usuing hubspot after usuing Salesforce for 7 years. At my new company I need to accomplish a couple things.

1. How do I create a partner tag on accounts in Hubspot? Currently it shows only the customer. We are a small company so we know every deal but as we scale it will be an issue.

2. Which partner portal is best? We need to start forecasting better and have a better experience for our partners than just spreadsheets. Also, as partners battle we need to set up a proper deal registration process trhough a portal. We would like to track deals along with them.

Thanks for your help.

Hi @KZimmerman6,

I’d recommend checking the HubSpot app marketplace for this: HubSpot Marketplace

Checkout rocketPRM especially.

Depending on which one you end up using, that’ll also affect the answer to question one.

Until then, if you just want a flag on the company record that a company is a partner, a custom property would be the easiest solution. Create and edit properties

Hi @KZimmerman6,

We actually made a blogpost (https://www.introw.io/resource-hub/the-3-ways-to-manage-your-b2b-partners-in-hubspot-and-attribute-r…) on the 3 ways how you can manage your B2B partners in HubSpot.

In terms of a partner portal we offer a partner portal integrated with your HubSpot allowing you to share pipeline, content and more at scale.

Next to that, we’ve built a deal registration process and flow (with an acceptance flow) all integrated with HubSpot.

Let me know if you’d be interested to learn more!
