Being able to choose DMs from a searching field that is manually created in HS by me

Hi colleagues,

I have a task:

Add to a Deal level DMs field - “Names of DMs not in contact with/ List of DMs not contacted” - searching field with an option to add DMs who are in HS as contacts to this field.

How to achieve it if it is possible?

Out of the box, HubSpot does not have a field type that looks up contacts: Understand property field types in HubSpot

There are ways to achieve this through the API but I’d love first to understand what the overall goal here is? If you want to see who you’re in contact with, why not create a card in the middle section of the record and display all associated contacts along with the “Last contacted date”, for example?

This is one of the cases, it seems to me, where sidestepping the issue and choosing a path that HubSpot offers is a lot easier than trying to make one exact thing work just to meet the personal preference of the requester.
