I’m a beginner with HubSpot CRM and I’m currently completing certifications through HubSpot Academy. While the courses have been helpful, I’m still a bit confused about how to build a CRM from scratch in a real-world scenario.
I’d love to learn the complete process, such as:
Setting up a CRM from the beginning
Creating custom properties
Building sales pipelines
Managing deals and lifecycle stages
Creating workflows and automations
Best practices for structuring everything from scratch
If anyone has resources, project ideas, or can share their experience and advice, I’d really appreciate it. I’m eager to learn and improve my hands-on HubSpot skills.
For the topics you mentioned, there are great knowledge base articles:
Best practices are, in my opinion, either dependent on the products, services, customers / personas - or they go beyond the scope of a community post.
My general recommendation would be to come up with a fictional (or even better: real) business idea and then try and implement what you’ve learned. Generative AI can be a great sparring partner here, especially if you describe your ideal business processes in detail and walk you through the ideal implementation in HubSpot. It’s a very safe way to get to explore and configure the features.
