We use a specific tax % on every quote so it should be possible to set a standard and e.g. add a 19% tax on every quote created automatically.
Benefits:

- Avoid mistakes
Auto-calculation of tax by region would be a great addon, but setting a default tax rate is really necessary.

We too would like an auto addition of tax for Products and Services in Singapore. We charge a price + tax but it is open to mistakes if the tax has to be calculated and added manually, which then runs the risk of quotes being rejected (especially if linked to a ‘Purchase Now’ button.

Yes please. A must for use in Aus GST is always 10%. having it as a default selection for quotes will save a lot of human error.

Would love to see this set up on a settings level <in SALES> PRODUCTS/QUOTES> as a toggled switch that ‘locks’ one tax rate for quotes as I understand other businesses also need the flexibility to change tax rates depending on the nature of their business.

A great implementation for the Hubspot quotes would be the possibility of setting the tax shown in the quotes as mandatory when we wish or also setting it up by default would be very helpful.
For instance, in a business that always has a 20% Tax, having it set by default would save time from the salesperson to input this information everytime they create a new quote. Moreover, that could avoid mistakes or oblivion.

Agree with this too, we’re based in the UK and need to automatically set the VAT on all quotes that get sent out - as other commenters have said it would be great to have this as a setting in Sales rather than manually typing in.
As our team are dealing with a number of quotes a day we have to rely on them remembering to set the VAT every time - it’s all too easy to forget when you’re busy.
