I want to make sure our unsubscribes will never be accidentally overwritten.

Is there a way for me to set up a daily automated list export of contacts so i can monitor it?

or can i restrict updating that column when importing data?

Hi @AD71,

If a contact unsubscribes, HubSpot doesn’t let you overwrite that, if that helps.

Still, if you want an automated export, you would have to create a custom report and set it so the raw data is delivered to you:

> **[Create reports with the custom report builder](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/create-reports-with-the-custom-report-builder)**
>
> Learn how to create reports with the new custom report builder.

(data source contact, table chart, filter by Unsubscribed from all email is true)

> **[Share or export reports and dashboards](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/dashboard/email-or-export-reports-and-dashboards)**
>
> Learn about the ways that you can export individual reports and dashboards, including setting up recurring daily, weekly, and monthly emails.

In free and Starter portals, this can unfortunately not be done.

Best regards!

hi, thank you. which property exactly do i need to update to unsubscribed to HS not let me overwrite it?

Thank you, I’m currently on free as we are just starting out - and the terrible customer service will probably make me go with a competitor.

Thanks for the help!

@AD71 if a contact unsubscribes, it cannot be overwritten. If you do on behalf if them, it can: [Unsubscribe an individual contact from receiving all email](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/how-do-i-unsubscribe-or-opt-out-contacts-from-email)

Keep in mind that there is no customer support on the free CRM. If you want to test it, I recommend subscribing for a month to any hub. It’s not too expensive.

Yes, clearly lol - not a very appealing model, and it’s sad as we have used before (with a different organization for years on a paid model) but over the last 2 years all the changes have produced a completely different company..

I’m glad there are people like you helping out, at least! Thank you
